We had the absolute pleasure of dining at Silver Fork last night, and it was an unforgettable experience. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The dinner was a true delight — we enjoyed the duck, lobster risotto, lamb meatballs, and mushroom soup, each dish perfectly prepared and bursting with flavor. The cocktails were just as impressive. The Manchester Manhattan was smooth and balanced, while the spicy Paloma had the perfect kick — a great complement to our meal. The restaurant's aesthetic and ambiance were warm and inviting, creating a cozy yet elegant atmosphere. What truly set the experience apart, though, was the hospitality. Melody, the owner, treated us like family, going out of her way to check in and make us feel special for our anniversary. We absolutely love this place. A converted library that still retains the charm. Great seatings with plenty of elbow room. We discovered it during our walk and were lucky to get a table (being in the early evening helps). The service was top notch including a chit chat with Melody the proprietor. Food and drinks were delights to the senses and scrumptious to taste.
This has to be the best restaurant in Vermont. My husband and I truly had the best meal and the best cider I’ve ever had. We had such a warm welcome from Melody herself and we loved the explanation of the eclectic menu. Seriously — thank you for a wonderful experience!!
Dinner for two with tip was 200. That included two appetizers (the patatas bravas was awesome), a mocktail and a cocktail, two entrees (highly recommend the pulled pork gnocchi) and an insanely good dessert (bread pudding). The hostess was super welcoming - we could've chatted with her all night, and the waitress was great as well. Atmosphere is really unique and cool! Good music as well - mix of jazz, classics, and chill indie pop. Easy 5 Don't think, go!
Amazing dinner at The Silver Fork. This was the 2nd time eating but the first in this beautiful location which was a former library. The atmosphere was cozy and elegant and so many beautiful things to look at. Our waitress was amazing (unfortunately, I forgot her name) provided amazing details on the menu and specials was a great sense of humor. Now for the food... everything was spectacular... the special mushroom soup was so delicious. The French onion soup was out of this world... and the main courses were also amazing. The potato salad that came with the schnitzel was out of this world... We would recommend this to everyone looking for a nice place to enjoy amazing food and atmosphere!
Warm and welcoming, very comfortable atmosphere. The food is of the highest possible quality and is consistently made to perfection. This time, I ordered the duck. It was the most delicious meal I have ever eaten.........ANYWHERE! My sister had the schnitzel.........AGAIN. It's outrageous! The menu is diversified and the servers all hold the bar very high in what they do. Melody and Chef Mark have created a diamond in Manchester, Vermont! An absolute must if you are in the area.
We had the best anniversary dinner here! The food was incredible, service was top notch, and the space and ambience were so beautiful! HIGHLY recommend the Caribbean bread pudding - best bread pudding we have ever had!
Located in a beautifully converted library, The Silver Fork is a great spot for excellent cocktails, a creative menu, and wonderful atmosphere. The Duck eggrolls were a standout, though the lamb and schnitzel main courses were also excellent. DO NOT MISS the bread pudding! I will be thinking about that dessert for a long time to come!
